KILLER INN: Exciting Closed Beta Test Announcement
Square Enix, in collaboration with Tactic Studios, has unveiled that their multiplayer murder mystery title, KILLER INN, is set to enter a Closed Beta Test (CBT) this weekend on Steam. The testing phase is scheduled to commence on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 3 PM Pacific Time and will run until Monday, July 28, 2025, at 3 PM Pacific Time. Interested players can request access through the Steam store page.
Purpose of the Closed Beta Test
Developers have emphasized that the primary goal of this Closed Beta is to evaluate server performance under heavy player loads. Participants should note that this build does not include tutorials, which will be offered in the final version upon its official launch.
Gameplay Overview
KILLER INN is structured as an asymmetrical competitive game, pitting two teams against one another. The larger group, known as Lambs, consists of 16 players, while the opposing team, the Wolves, is made up of 8 players. To achieve victory, each team must eliminate all of their opponents. The Wolves possess the advantage of knowing who their teammates are, while the Lambs must deduce which members in their ranks are secretly Wolves.
Clue Gathering and Survival Strategies
When a Wolf eliminates a Lamb, they inadvertently leave behind clues. It becomes crucial for the Lambs to gather these hints to uncover the identities of the Wolves. Players should pay close attention to any corpses they encounter, collecting clues to aid their survival. To enhance their chances of survival, players will need weapons and armor, obtainable by completing quests for castle staff or by purchasing items from the in-game store using gold or tokens.
