Khatab’s Uncle Urges Approval from Both Families for His Marriage Proposal to Safa on Love is Blind: Habibi

In the latest installment of Love is Blind: Habibi, viewers were introduced to new couples who forged deep emotional connections. As the couples stepped into reality after their engagements, they began discussing their aspirations for the future, including career goals and wedding plans.

This season was filmed in the United Arab Emirates, and many participants appear to adhere closely to their partner’s cultural traditions. One cast member, Safa, expressed her desire for her partner Khatab to meet her parents prior to finalizing any wedding details. However, since Safa’s parents live in Canada, they conveyed that they would only approve of Khatab as their son-in-law once they had the chance to meet him.

Diving into episode 7, Khatab sought out his uncle for guidance on this matter. His uncle, Taha, advised him to introduce himself to Safa’s parents at the earliest opportunity, stating:

“Entering into marriage and establishing a family involves not just the couple, but both families. It’s crucial for everyone to agree on this significant decision. Aim to meet her parents soon so we can get acquainted with her as well.”

The seventh episode, titled Family Matters, premiered exclusively on Netflix. The synopsis reveals that family interactions play a pivotal role in the couples’ journeys:

“Unexpected familiar faces join the couples for a night out, leading to surprises. Parents help some engagements move forward, while doubt is cast for others.”

In episode 7, Khatab’s bond with his uncle was prominently featured. In his confessional, Khatab expressed how much he appreciated his uncle’s advice, likening him to a father figure, saying:

“I maintain a robust connection with my uncle. He truly is like a second father to me.”

After Khatab shared his experiences on Love is Blind: Habibi, his uncle conveyed his joy at Khatab finding a suitable partner. He inquired about the possibility of meeting Safa soon, remarking:

“Sometimes love blossoms before one even lays eyes on the other. I’m thrilled! I can’t believe how excited I am to see him so well-matched with her. We must arrange to meet her family, and let’s meet her too.”

Khatab clarified that Safa’s parents had made it clear they wanted him to meet them first, after which they would consider allowing Safa to meet Khatab’s family.

Khatab elaborated on Safa’s family’s customs, noting they felt it was improper for them to marry without Khatab formally asking for her father’s permission first. He stated:

“There’s a dilemma. Her family, following their traditions, insists I meet them prior to her meeting my family. Since they’re in Canada, they believe it wouldn’t be proper for her to meet you before I introduce myself to her parents, especially since she is a girl. I get where they’re coming from.”

Khatab’s uncle underscored the importance of visiting Canada to meet Safa’s parents soon and expressed his desire to meet her afterward, contingent on their approval. To keep up with Safa and Khatab’s journey, viewers can binge-watch Love is Blind: Habibi exclusively on Netflix.

Fans are also encouraged to follow Safa and Khatab on their official Instagram accounts to remain informed about their lives post-filming.
