KB5060829: Microsoft Enhances Speed of Windows 11 File Explorer and Search with Build 26100.4482

Microsoft Unveils New Windows 11 Release Preview Build 26100.4482

Microsoft has rolled out its latest Release Preview build for Windows 11 Insiders, designated as 26100.4482 (KB5060829).This update marks significant enhancements, particularly in the File Explorer performance during archive extraction. Users can expect a noticeable boost in speed when copying large quantities of files from extensive 7z or.rar archives, as stated by Microsoft.

Beyond improvements in File Explorer, this build promises a more responsive Search feature. Previously, users reported that the Search Box often took over 10 seconds to load, rendering it frustrating to use. This update aims to significantly reduce that lag.

This enhancement ensures that more applications can fit within the Taskbar without sacrificing accessibility.
