KARD Cancels North American Dates for 2025 ‘New Era’ Tour: Beloved Co-Ed K-Pop Group Update

KARD Cancels North American “NEW ERA”Tour Due to Visa Delays

K-pop enthusiasts in North America are facing disappointment as the co-ed group KARD has announced the cancellation of their eagerly awaited “NEW ERA”tour, which was set to begin imminently. This unexpected news comes just days before their first concert scheduled for February 27 in Nashville.

The cancellation stems from complications related to the issuance of necessary work visas for the group. KARD’s agency, DSP Media, disclosed that despite their diligent efforts in collaboration with tour promoter Konnect’d Entertainment and agency HY Live to secure these visas, bureaucratic delays hindered the timely processing. DSP Media affirmed that they submitted all required documentation on schedule for the four group members.

For fans who had purchased tickets, a full refund will be processed automatically through the original payment method used for the purchase. This measure aims to alleviate some of the disappointment caused by the tour cancellation.

In a heartfelt statement, DSP Media expressed their regrets: “We sincerely apologize to the fans who have been eagerly anticipating this tour and are truly sorry for the deep disappointment this has caused. We ask for your understanding and deeply regret not being able to meet your expectations, ” they stated, thanking fans for their support.

This development is particularly disheartening for the group’s fanbase, known as Hidden Kards, who were excited for KARD’s return to North American stages. The group features four talented members: J. Seph, BM, Somin, and Jiwoo. They are celebrated for their unique sound that fuses K-pop with hip-hop, EDM, and tropical house influences.

KARD began their journey with the release of “Oh NaNa”and “Don’t Recall”in 2016 but officially debuted as a group in June 2017 with the EP Hola Hola, which garnered global recognition and appeared on several Billboard charts. Their rise to fame was bolstered by appearances at major events, including the 2017 Summer Sonic Festival in Japan and KCON in Los Angeles.

The group’s most recent EP, titled Where to Now? (Part 1: Yellow Light), was released in August 2021. This album showcases a variety of musical styles, reflecting their evolving artistry.
