The animosity between Kape and Kara-France dates back to their scheduled fight at UFC 293. However, due to a concussion sustained during training, the New Zealander had to withdraw from the bout. This caused Kape to become angry, leading to an altercation at the pre-fight press conference.

Despite his reputation for being a tough fighter, Kape has unfortunately been forced to withdraw from his upcoming bout due to injury. His latest tweet revealed that he underwent surgery for a broken rib cartilage, an ironic turn of events considering his previous bouts of bad luck. Although injuries are a common occurrence in this sport, this isn’t the first time Kape has let down his fans.

Despite being scheduled to fight Nicolau at UFC Fight Night 234 in January, Kape’s bout with him was cancelled due to him weighing three and a half pounds over the weight limit. This was not the first time Kape had faced this issue, adding to his unfortunate circumstances.

Before that incident, he had failed to make weight by three pounds for his fight against Ode’ Osbourne. Luckily, the fight was set at a catchweight of 129 pounds.
