“Just made me tear up”: Gen V star Patrick Schwarzenegger mourns co-star Chance Perdomo as star’s rep confirms his death
On March 29, Gen V star Chance Perdomo sadly passed away in a motorcycle accident. In response, Patrick Schwarzenegger, who starred alongside him on the Amazon Prime Video show, shared his sorrow in two posts on X.
Patrick shared a tweet of a scene from the show and added his own comment.
“Damn that just made me tear up.”
The public flooded the comments section for the same with reactions, recalling Perdomo’s memorable performances throughout the years. Patrick also posted another tweet about the passing of his co-star, stating:
“What a young talented actor, and a great friend – gone way too soon. Was a pleasure to work with him in GenV. RIP Chance.”
Everyone is familiar with Patrick Schwarzenegger for his role as Golden Boy in Gen V.
Remembering Chance Perdomo: Gen V costars and producers honor him on social media
Perdomo’s representatives have confirmed that he tragically passed away in a bike accident last Friday. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries or fatalities in the incident.
Following the public announcement of his passing, his co-stars have been posting tributes in his honor on their individual social media accounts. Antony Starr also joined in by resharing a post from Amazon Studios, expressing his sadness at the tragic news.
A statement jointly released by Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television stated:
“The entire Gen V family is devastated at the sudden passing of Chance Perdomo. Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television extend our heartfelt thoughts and support to Chance’s family and all who loved him at this difficult time.”
The producers of the show also paid tribute to Chance Perdomo, referring to him as a “vibrant powerhouse”and a highly skilled individual. They emphasized that it would be inaccurate to speak of him in the past tense. In addition, they added:
“We are so sorry for Chance’s family, and we are grieving the loss of our friend and colleague. Hug your loved ones tonight.”
Robert Bazzocchi, another member of the series’ cast, expressed his admiration for Chance Perdomo in a comment on Instagram. He stated that Chance was one of his favorite actors on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, describing him as a “standout.”He then added:
“My heart goes out to his family and loved ones, may he rest in peace.”
In addition to Gen V, Chance also appeared in various other television shows throughout the years, including Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. He also had two short films in his filmography and was set to star in an upcoming action comedy movie called Bad Man.
Chance Perdomo’s Audition for The Boys
In 2023, when Gen V was released, it proved to be yet another hit series on Amazon Prime Video. A key factor in its success was its connection to The Boys, another popular series on the same streaming platform.
In November of last year, Chance Perdomo revealed to Variety that he had previously auditioned for the role of Hughie in The Boys.
Despite not being chosen for the role, Perdomo expressed his desire to still watch the show. He further stated:
“I watched ‘The Boys’ and I think, ‘Wow this has never been done, it’s amazing.’ So then to get Andre was such a blessing because I come into it and I get to enjoy the playground that is ‘The Boys’ universe.”
Chance further expressed his desire for the producers to delve into his relationship with Cate. During the interview, he enthusiastically mentioned his satisfaction with Karl Urban’s brief appearance in the final moments of Gen V. He characterized the entire experience as “perfect.”
