“Just doing my thing” – Two-sport champ Regian Eersel plans to make life miserable for Alexis Nicolas in world title matchup

Regian Eersel is determined to showcase the contrast in skill between himself and the new world title contender, Alexis Nicolas.

The current two-sport world champion will defend his ONE lightweight kickboxing world title against Nicolas in the main event of ONE Fight Night 21 this Friday, airing during US primetime at the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium.

Eersel, who is also the current holder of the ONE lightweight Muay Thai world title, stated in an interview with CountFilms TV that he intends to employ his typical aggressive approach against Nicolas in Bangkok.

Despite being referred to as “usual,”the level of Regian Eersel is actually quite distinct.

“I will always fight, you know, putting the pressure, making him tired, doing some combinations, and just doing my thing.”

Eersel is renowned for his incredible cardiovascular endurance, which allows him to maintain a high level of speed and intensity for the entirety of a five-round bout.

Eersel has earned the nickname ‘The Immortal’ for his impressive endurance, as he is able to effortlessly deliver a series of cunning combinations from the first round all the way through the fifth, without needing to rest on the stool during breaks.

It’s expected that he’ll give his best performance when he faces Nicolas for his fifth defense of the ONE lightweight kickboxing world title, demonstrating his hard-working and determined nature.
