The Moogle Treasure Trove Returns to FFXIV: July 2025 Highlights
The Moogle Treasure Trove, a beloved recurring event in Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV), is set to make a welcome return on July 8, 2025. This latest iteration, known as The Hunt for Allegory, will feature exciting new rewards such as the Ruby Gwiber Mount, Coffee Cup Earring, and the Ephemeral Necromancer Minion. Players can look forward to this event continuing until the arrival of patch 7.3 in late August 2025, building on the excitement generated by the previous event, The Hunt for Phantasmagoria, which took place in February 2025.
Event Mechanics: How to Participate
The framework for this event remains consistent with previous versions. Participants will engage in a variety of tasks categorized as Standard Objectives, Weekly Objectives, Minimog Challenges, and Ultimog Challenges to earn Irregular Tomestones. Players can track their progress using the Mogpendium. Standard Objectives, typically associated with specific duties, are the most common and provide ample opportunities to collect event rewards. In contrast, the Ultimog Challenge is a unique task that can only be completed once throughout the entirety of the event, while Minimog Challenges are refreshed on a weekly basis.
Rewards and Locations
For those eager to explore the rewards up for grabs, a comprehensive list can be found on the official FFXIV site. Many of these items can also be obtained through alternative methods in the game; however, acquiring them through Irregular Tomestones offers a more straightforward and reliable route. Players can find the Itinerant Moogles—who facilitate the exchange of Tomestones for rewards—at the following locations:
- Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks (X: 9.4, Y: 11.6)
- New Gridania (X: 12.4, Y: 12.1)
- Ul’dah, Steps of Nald (X: 9.6, Y: 9.1)
