Jonathan Isaac apologizes to Joe Biden after misdirected rage regarding Transgender Day of Visibility
Jonathan Isaac, forward for the Orlando Magic, apologized to United States President Joe Biden for directing his anger on social media towards the head of state.
The 26-year-old former sixth overall pick (2017) and devout Christian responded to Biden’s proclamation of March 31, 2024 as Transgender Day of Visibility, noting that it coincides with Easter Sunday.
Jonathan Isaac expressed his disapproval of X (formerly Twitter) on the platform, emphasizing that he believed the decision only fueled animosity and division. He urged his followers to remember the true significance of Easter and to shift their focus to the Resurrection of Jesus.
It was likely that the former Florida State player acknowledged that the proclamation occurring on Easter Sunday was merely coincidental, as he issued a “good faith”retraction. Nevertheless, he emphasized the importance of Easter Sunday.
He penned his words on X:
“In the name of fairness Biden did recognize the day last year when it didn’t fall on Esther! That’s important, and to me, releases the administration from the allegation on intentionality! Instead of deleting the tweet like it never happened this is my good faith retraction lol. The message is the same. Keep focused on what Resurrection Sunday Is all bout. Christ defeating sin and death for all people who would believe.”
President Biden has declared Transgender Day of Visibility and urges all Americans to take action towards ending violence and discrimination against individuals based on their gender identity. Additionally, he emphasizes the importance of empowering transgender individuals to share their stories and improve their quality of life.

Despite his efforts, Isaac’s contributions have not gone unnoticed, as Magic coach Jamahl Mosley has praised him, stating:
