Jon Bon Jovi’s Residence: Exploring the Singer’s Connection to Nashville After the Release of The People’s House Music Video
On Friday, October 11, Jon Bon Jovi unveiled the music video for his new song, The People’s House, which was filmed in Nashville. Alongside the release announcement for this patriotic track, he publicly supported the Harris-Walz campaign via his social media account on X. He shared a teaser of the music video on the same day, stating:
“The People’s House is a song that celebrates this beautiful place that we call home, from sea to shining sea.”
He added further remarks:
“The truth matters. And the truth is on election day I’ll be voting for @KamalaHarris and @Tim_Walz because I believe in the power of we, not of me. I’ve written a song reminding us that out of many, we are still one.”
This visit marks one of many for Bon Jovi. Despite his residence in New Jersey, he has a significant connection to Nashville. In Spring 2024, he opened a bar in downtown Nashville that presents a unique fusion of country music and rock ‘n’ roll. The expansive five-story establishment features two rooftop areas and serves as a vibrant venue for food, live entertainment, and music.

The People’s House is a collaboration between Bon Jovi and the country duo The War and Treaty. In the striking black-and-white video, Jon is seen performing alongside the duo in various locations throughout Nashville, including the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge—a location where, merely a month prior, he intervened to prevent a woman from jumping into the Cumberland River.
This visually captivating video, directed by Bojan Vanovac and produced by Laura Vanovac alongside Vano Projects, features additional clips of people lip-syncing to the song. The People’s House is the latest single from the band’s upcoming 16th studio album, titled Forever.
Moreover, while unveiling the song on X, Bon Jovi openly endorsed Kamala Harris and Tim Walz for the upcoming election. Throughout his career, Bon Jovi has remained politically engaged—creating music inspired by events like George Floyd’s death and expressing his support for President Biden.
He has previously partnered with Al Gore on the campaign trail and was appointed by President Obama to the Council for Community Solutions.
In a serendipitous event during the filming of this music video in September 2024, Jon Bon Jovi helped a woman who was contemplating jumping off the Nashville bridge. This credible incident surfaced on X after Bon Jovi posted about the song, drawing attention from a user, @w3ohiorob, who commented.
“I’ll just point out that while filming this video, Jon Bon Jovi took time out to help someone back from the edge of the bridge he walks across in the video. Total Class Act,”one person wrote.
Additionally, the Metro Nashville Police Department acknowledged Bon Jovi’s heroic actions in a video shared on X, which read:
“A shout out to Jon Bon Jovi and his team for helping a woman on the Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge [on] Tuesday night.”
Bon Jovi has had multiple interactions with Nashville beyond this recent video shoot. He launched JBJ’s Nashville, a bar and restaurant in June 2024, in partnership with Big Plan Holdings, located at the intersection of Broadway and Fourth Avenue.
This venue has become a notable landmark, spanning 37,000 square feet and housing multiple performance stages adorned with historical photos of Bon Jovi’s band throughout the years.
In a celebration of music history, the band’s debut album will be reissued in a 40th-anniversary Deluxe Edition in 2024, featuring 18 additional tracks and exclusive content.
