To become a member of the Velvet Shade sect, players can utilize one of the following methods:

Marry someone, immediately divorce, wait 24 hours to complete the divorce process, and then receive an invitation to join.
Accumulate a specific number of Elegance points in the game to automatically receive an invitation.

Currently, the method of joining via Elegance points appears to be either malfunctioning or not yet available in the game’s global version. At this point, it’s unclear how many points are actually necessary. Typically, players enhance their chances of being invited by sporting their most extravagant cosmetics. If this method fails, the divorce approach can be utilized instead.

Joining Velvet Shade Through Divorce in Where Winds Meet

To initiate marriage in the game, you must first achieve a “Companionship”intimacy level with another character. Following this, select the “Partner Request”from the Social menu to consult Shi Yimo, located in Red Maple Forest, and formalize your partnership. After marrying, it’s crucial to proceed with a divorce promptly.

The divorce process is straightforward: return to Shi Yimo, choose the “Sever Partnership”option, and your relationship will end. Fortunately, reaching the necessary intimacy level typically requires just a few gifts. However, do keep in mind that you must wait **24 real-time hours** before revisiting Shi Yimo to complete the divorce for good.

Once finalized, the invitation to join Velvet Shade will appear in your inventory. To complete the joining process, simply follow the accompanying short quest. If you have not received your invitation post-divorce, we recommend restarting the game and checking your inventory again. If the invitation is still absent, you might need to attempt the marriage and divorce process again to successfully obtain it.
