Roman Reigns Mocks John Cena’s Record-Breaking 16 World Title Reigns
During his discussion of John Cena’s 16 reigns as world champion, Roman Reigns did not hold back.
During an interview on the Pat McAfee Show, Reigns expressed that Cena has accomplished a great deal in his career. Nevertheless, he believes that none of Cena’s past title reigns hold the same significance as his current reign as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. Reigns stated:
“I don’t take anything away from anybody. What John (Cena) has done, yeah, as far as generations come, that is GOAT level stuff. But for me, it has always been about quality, not quantity. John has a lot of title reigns, but he doesn’t have a title reign that can compare to what I’ve done in the past four years. So this quality that I have put on display, it speaks for itself.”
For over 1300 days now, Reigns has maintained his hold on the titles. He has proven himself as a formidable champion, defeating top contenders like Cena at the SummerSlam 2021 Premium Live Event.
Cena’s most recent bout took place at the Crown Jewel 2023 event, where he faced off against Reigns’ fellow member of the Bloodline stable, Solo Sikoa, and was defeated in a one-on-one match.
