Aunique Moment in K-pop History
Heart2Hearts was officially unveiled on January 12, 2025, during the SMTOWN Live 2025 event, which celebrated SM Entertainment’s 30th anniversary. The formation of this new girl group has experienced multiple delays; it was initially slated for a late 2023 debut but was postponed to early 2025. Significantly, Heart2Hearts represents a shift in SM’s approach, being the first girl group to debut without the guidance of founder Lee Soo-man, who vacated his role as executive producer in March 2023.
As one of the major players in the K-pop industry, SM Entertainment continues to innovate. The debut of Heart2Hearts follows the emergence of Riize, a boy group launched by the agency in 2023, showcasing SM’s ongoing commitment to expanding their roster in the competitive Korean entertainment market.
