Jiri Prochazka believes “early end” to Alex Pereira fight grants him a title shot next if he wins at UFC 300
Jiri Prochazka is aiming for a chance to compete for the championship after his upcoming bout at UFC 300.
On April 13 in Las Vegas, Prochakza will be competing against Aleksandar Rakic on the preliminary card of UFC 300: Pereira vs. Hill. The highly anticipated main event will be a light heavyweight title match between champion Alex Pereira and challenger Jamahal Hill.
Prochazka, who is currently ranked second in the division, is confident that a decisive victory next weekend will grant him a chance to compete for the title. During a recent interview with The Schmo, ‘Denisa’ commented:
“I believe, after that last fight [at UFC 295], after that early end of the fight [at UFC 295], If I win next week [against Rakic] and I hope and believe I’m able to win… I deserve a title shot.”

At UFC 295, Prochazka and Pereira put on an exciting fight for the vacant title. Although Prochakza began the fight with a strong performance, Pereira’s relentless leg kicks began to wear him down. In the second round, a powerful left hook from Pereira knocked Prochazka to the ground, resulting in a stoppage that was deemed by some to be early.

In a recent Instagram post showcasing the UFC 300 main event, ‘Denisa’ emphasized the significance of each fight on the card, highlighting his dedication to every competition. He remains focused on displaying the true potential of Martial Arts.
“It’s not just a next fight. Every fight is most important, like the title fight like a fight for life. I was not born to show just something. I am here to show the power of martial arts, the full potential of our bodies, mind and spirit. The mastery.
