Alesana Parts Ways with Drummer Jeremy Bryan Amid Allegations

In a significant development for the post-hardcore music scene, Alesana, the acclaimed band from Raleigh, North Carolina, has announced the departure of drummer Jeremy Bryan. The decision was publicly shared via a statement on their official Instagram and X accounts on November 2, 2023, following emerging allegations against Bryan.

“Alesana does not condone the actions alleged nor will we condone any retaliation from our fan base towards the person involved.”

Initially including Shawn Mike, Dennis Lee, Daniel Magnuson, Patrick Thompson, and Steven Tomany, the band welcomed various members through the years. After the departure of different musicians, Jeremy Bryan joined in 2007, following the exit of drummer Will Anderson.

As of Bryan’s recent departure, Alesana consists of five remaining members: Shawn Mike, Patrick Thompson, Dennis Lee, Jake Campbell, and Shane Crump. The absence of Bryan marks a notable shift for the band, which now embarks on its next chapter without him.
