“Jeongyeon Opens Up About ONCE Reactions”— Fans Express Support for TWICE Member’s Honest Confession
TWICE’s Jeongyeon recently shared heartfelt sentiments toward her fans, reflecting on instances when they disappointed her. After the HOME 9ROUND fan meetings in Seoul on October 20, she utilized the Bubble app to thank fans for their unwavering support over the nine years of the group’s journey in music.
The talented singer expressed:
“Thank you for your cheers, love, and the warmth you’ve shown us during these nine years. Our happiness may not be constant, but the joyful moments with ONCE helped us through tougher times! I truly mean it.”
Jeongyeon further elaborated on her emotional connection with her supporters, whom she affectionately calls ONCE, stating:
“There were moments I felt angry towards ONCE and times when I was hurt. I believe ONCE must have felt the same about us at some point? Haha! Yet, I appreciate these experiences, as they have deepened our bond and made it even more significant! I promise to always be a part of ONCE, so please watch over me.”
Fans swiftly reacted on social media, sharing their thoughts regarding Jeongyeon’s candid message. A fan on X tweeted:
“Jeongyeon’s honesty is so refreshing.”
Many supporters resonated with her words, applauding her authenticity.
“Her straightforwardness is so necessary. Many in fandoms often forget that idols can feel hurt and should not be treated poorly, making this a much-needed reminder,” another fan remarked.
“This showcases a healthy dynamic between fans and artists—an extraordinary level of trust that’s not easily achieved. Jeongyeon’s openness is met with equally accepting love from her fans,” a user on X observed.
The positive reactions continued as netizens showed their support and appreciation for Jeongyeon’s honesty.
“It seems a moment struck her, allowing her to express her feelings so openly. I’m grateful that Jeongyeon can be forthright with us, and perhaps this serves as an eye-opener for ONCE, reminding us that our words and actions impact them,” a supporter commented.
“We need more idols to be this candid… Many fans take their feelings for granted and think their support gives them free rein to act disrespectfully. That’s just not right,” an X user shared.
“Jeongyeon conveyed that while she loves her fans, she also feels hurt when some treat her poorly. This is a valuable reminder that financial support doesn’t give anyone the right to behave however they like,” another user specified.
