Jayson Tatum’s son Deuce shares bedtime book with Celtics bench during 30-point lead over OKC

Despite the blowout victory by the Boston Celtics against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Apr. 4, 2024, all eyes were not only on Jayson Tatum but also on his son, Deuce, who frequently attends his basketball games. Deuce’s presence during the game captured the attention of many.

Amidst the boy’s presence on the sidelines, heartwarming gestures caught the attention of social media. He was spotted escorting his father from behind the curtains and then signing autographs for fans.

During the blowout game, Deuce communicated with the Celtics bench in a unique way. He showed them the book he had been reading, which was titled ‘Giraffes Can’t Dance.’

Another glimpse of Deuce showed him holding his father’s team towel and pausing before giving it back to him, as he was under the supervision of Jayson Tatum’s mother.

The Boston Celtics’ win against the OKC Thunder elevated their record to 60-16, securing them the top spot in the NBA standings for the 2023-24 season. With only six games remaining, the Celtics can now rest and anticipate the upcoming playoffs.

The leading scorer for Boston was Kristaps Porzingis, who recorded 27 points, 12 rebounds, five blocks, and three triples. Jayson Tatum was close behind with 24 points and seven rebounds, followed by Jaylen Brown with 23 points. In total, seven players from Boston scored in double digits.

“It’s an honor, it’s a blessing to be on a 60-win team,”said Brown after the win. “It’s a lot of hard work that went into that, especially after coming up short last season, responding, coming back and not skipping any steps. I think we’re on track, 60 wins, but when the playoffs start, it’s back to square one.”

The remaining five games of the season for Boston will take place at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. On Apr. 5, their next scheduled opponents will be the Sacramento Kings, followed by the Portland Trail Blazers. Their final away game of the 2023-24 season will be on Apr. 9 against the Milwaukee Bucks at the Fiserv Forum.
