Unlocking Mystery Gift Codes
If you’re eager to claim rewards but find yourself unable to access the Mystery Gift feature, you’ll need to visit a Pokémon Centre first. This introduces you to the Poke Portal within the game.
You will encounter your first Pokémon Centre during the tutorial, generally an hour or two into the game, depending on your gameplay style. Once you’ve healed your Pokémon at the Centre, the Poke Portal will finally be available in your menu.

Redeeming Mystery Gift Codes
Once you’ve unlocked the Mystery Gift function, you’re all set to redeem codes; just remember that an internet connection is necessary for this process.
Start by pressing ‘X’ to access your menu, then select ‘Poke Portal’.From there, navigate to ‘Mystery Gift’.You will encounter four options to proceed.

The first option, ‘Get via Internet’, will show you a list of available gifts, including exclusive items like the early order bonus of the Flying Tera Type Pikachu. Should there be more gifts to claim later, simply repeat these steps.
The second option, ‘Get with Code/Password’, enables you to enter a specific code for redeeming your Mystery Gift. The third option, ‘Check Mystery Gifts’, offers a recap of the Mystery Gifts you’ve previously claimed, ensuring you stay up to date on what you have redeemed.
Lastly, the fourth option, ‘Check Poke Portal News’, directs you to the latest updates from The Pokémon Company, where you can discover more about newly released Mystery Gift Codes.
With these straightforward steps, redeeming your Mystery Gift Codes in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet becomes a seamless experience.
