Izaak Michell, the challenger for the upcoming ONE welterweight submission grappling world championship, is prepared to demonstrate his prowess as one of the top submission experts in the world.

Currently, he is getting ready to face off against current ONE welterweight submission grappling world champion Tye Ruotolo in the main event of ONE Fight Night 21 on April 5.

Two BJJ masters will compete in the legendary ring of the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, to determine the undefeated champion of their weight division.

Prior to his most significant fight yet, Izaak Michell spoke with ONE Championship about his plans to showcase his full potential to a worldwide audience.

The emerging Australian star stated:

“So, we can have this match and then, you know, we can get a feel and then we’ll compete more times in the future. I think every match counts. You learn so much from every match. And yeah, I think I’m still yet to show people what I’m capable of.”

Before joining the world’s largest martial arts organization, he had gained recognition through his performances in multiple IBJFF tournaments, where he achieved impressive victories against world champions Roberto Jimenez and Jansen Gomes.

Currently, he is determined to be the first athlete to defeat Ruotolo and win the championship alongside him in Australia.
