IU Expresses Desire for a Long, Fulfilling Life
Lee Ji-eun, better known by her stage name IU, has recently opened up about her aspirations for a lengthy and rewarding life. During a candid interview on Salon Drip 2, aired on the YouTube channel TEO, the renowned South Korean singer-songwriter and actress shared her reflections on longevity.
Her Vision for the Future
When asked about her desired lifespan, IU thoughtfully replied, “I want to live until I’m 80.”She indicated her dedication to her career, adding, “I promised my fans that I would be a singer who would fill stadiums until I was 70.”
Financial Independence and Family Dynamics
In the same interview, IU also discussed her stance on family wealth. Rather than seeking to inherit her parents’ assets, she revealed her intention for her siblings to equally share their parents’ legacy.“I’m financially independent now, ”she explained, stating her decision to withdraw from the inheritance discussion so that her parents can divide it among her three brothers and sisters instead.

IU’s illustrious career has positioned her as one of the most honored and loved figures in the South Korean entertainment industry.
