“It’s Rude”- Love is Blind Fans Criticize Alex for Napping During Tim’s Parents’ Visit

The third set of episodes from Season 7 of Love is Blind, specifically episodes 10 and 11, made their debut on October 16, following the season’s launch earlier this month. These latest episodes revolved around the couples’ encounters with each other’s families as they prepared for their impending nuptials. However, tensions rose for some pairs, leading to significant relationship strains and, ultimately, a breakup.

Among the couples, Alex and Tim faced challenges during their time with each other’s families. This meeting led them to the conclusion that they weren’t suited for marriage. In episode 10, Tim’s parents drove approximately 10 hours to meet Alex, who was engaged to their only son through Love is Blind. However, Tim was displeased when Alex dozed off while they were visiting.

Alex defended herself by stating that she had only taken a brief nap after speaking to Tim’s parents for four hours. Despite her explanation, Tim had already reached a decision regarding their relationship. He ended their engagement and left their shared living space. Viewers of Love is Blind echoed Tim’s sentiments, voicing their disapproval of Alex’s actions on social media.

“If my fiancé’s parents came 10 hours to meet me, I wouldn’t care how exhausted I was—I wouldn’t nap. It’s disrespectful. But Tim’s last remark towards her was really tough,”commented one fan.

“Tim requested Alex’s dad for her hand in marriage, made his dad emotional, and then Alex ends things after meeting Tim’s parents due to a NAP,”another viewer expressed.

“So Tim’s parents traveled 10 hours to meet Alex, and as soon as filming stopped, she decides to nap instead of interacting with them off the air? Even if fatigued, she should have prioritized spending time with them before excusing herself to rest,”another fan pointed out.

“Tim’s parents probably felt tired from the long drive but were too courteous to fall asleep,”commented another user.

While some fans supported Tim’s feelings regarding Alex’s nap, they argued it shouldn’t have led to a breakup.

“It’s true that Alex wasn’t right to sleep when Tim’s parents were visiting. However, marriage requires compromise. Ending a relationship over this and a text seems unreasonable,”noted one user.

“Alex napping while meeting Tim’s parents feels very typical of her. However, Tim’s strong reaction seems rooted in his past experiences. I hope they are truly done. It’s a toxic situation,”another commented.

“Alex…why would you choose to nap during the only time Tim’s parents were visiting? Seriously,”a fan expressed frustration.

Tim’s Parents Meet Alex in Episode 10 of Love is Blind Season 7

Upon Tim’s parents entering and greeting Alex on Love is Blind, his father complimented her as a “beautiful lady.”They explained that Tim’s actual name was Drake and that Tim was named after his father. Subsequently, Tim’s mother emphasized the seriousness of marriage and inquired about Alex’s opinions on the topic. Alex affirmed that she held similar views.

Tim’s mother further elaborated on the challenges of marriage and the dedication both partners must possess for it to thrive. Alex agreed with her, and afterward, Tim and his parents retreated for a private discussion, during which his parents expressed their trust in his choices.

In another scene after the parents departed, Tim confronted Alex about her decision to nap. She mentioned she was exhausted from work and felt it was just a brief rest. He highlighted that they had communicated minimally throughout the day and noted an unanswered text he had sent earlier.

Alex claimed she was unaware that her actions upset him and urged him to be more forthcoming with his feelings. Despite her requests, Tim had already resolved to end things, expressing that he didn’t envision a future for them and ultimately walked out of their apartment.

Fans can look forward to episode 12 of Love is Blind Season 7, which is set to air on October 23 on Netflix.
