Jonathan Di Bella, the current and undisputed ONE strawweight kickboxing world champion from Canada and Italy, is not afraid to defend his golden belt in hostile territory. In fact, the 27-year-old champion finds competing in Thailand’s revered arena to be even more enjoyable than competing elsewhere.
At ONE Friday Fights 58: Superbon vs. Grigorian II, Di Bella will be taking on Prajanchai PK Saenchai of Thailand, who holds the ONE strawweight Muay Thai world champion title. The event, which will be held at the renowned Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, will be broadcasted live on Friday, April 5th.
In a recent interview with ONE Championship, Di Bella expressed his enjoyment of performing at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium.
The Canadian-Italian celebrity declared:
“I feel like it’s more fun. I like going to their hometown and competing and getting more fans because I like to give an exciting fight, and especially giving an exciting fight with one of their own, with their own countryman.”
Di Bella will risk his strawweight kickboxing championship and enter the hostile territory of Lumpinee, a place where Prajanchai is highly respected and admired.

According to the South China Morning Post, Di Bella said:
“So yeah, I think, I believe I’m the underdog in this fight. But yeah, I’m going to go in and shock the world.”
