The highly anticipated Love Is Blind Season 7 premiered six new episodes on Netflix on October 2, 2024, revealing unexpected twists and connections. This season introduced 29 single individuals eager to participate in the social experiment to discover true love.
Before the contestants saw each other face-to-face, a complicated love triangle emerged. Leo expressed interest in both Hannah and Brittany, grappling with his decision as he shared his insecurities stemming from his family’s wealth.
Brittany, who labeled herself as the “trophy wife,” admitted to her attraction towards the “clean-cut”business type but emphasized she didn’t intend to marry someone solely for financial gain. Conversely, Hannah was focused on her budding relationship with Nick, who was steadfast in his feelings for her, unlike Leo.
Despite Leo’s attempts to connect in the pods, Hannah ultimately chose Nick over him. Subsequently, Leo decided to propose to Brittany, who was aware of the dynamics and felt frustrated with Leo’s indecision, particularly after Hannah provided her with a forewarning about Leo during their time in the women’s lounge.
In a candid interview with E! News on October 5, 2024, Hannah opened up about her conversation with Brittany after the proposal. She shared insights about her prior interactions with Leo with Brittany, stating:
“When Brittany decided to go through the proposal with Leo, I told her what I knew and I told her what had happened,”Hannah explained.
Furthermore, Hannah added:
“It’s her relationship, it’s her life. If that’s what she wants to do, then that’s what she wants to do.”
Brittany and Leo’s Journey Beyond the Pods
Throughout the duration of Love Is Blind, contestants were prohibited from using their phones until exiting the pods to minimize distractions and foster authentic connections. Brittany and Leo were among the seven couples who opted to propose to one another.
However, producers decided not to follow through with their storyline, displaying a title card to viewers to indicate this choice. In an interview with Variety on October 2, executive producer Chris Coelen explained their intention to focus on couples they found to be more “authentic.”
In real life, Brittany and Leo’s story did not conclude within the confines of the show. They mutually decided to explore their connection outside the pods. Leo reminisced about their initial days together, describing them as “electric,”marked by profound conversations about intimacy and spirituality. Unfortunately, the couple ultimately realized their romantic feelings had “fizzled out.”
Brittany reflected that while similar situations had previously led to unfavorable outcomes in her life, she considered Leo a “friend”this time. She remarked:
“But ultimately [he] was just like a friend. We’d go to bed together, and I’m like, ‘Nothing here.’ ”
Leo expressed surprise at the emotional depth he concluded he was able to showcase in a brief timeframe, also mentioning that participating in the show helped him understand what he seeks in a long-term partner in the future.
Catch the first six episodes of Love Is Blind Season 7 on Netflix, and stay tuned for new episodes dropping on October 9.
