Monica and Stephen’s Breakup in Episode 8 of Love is Blind Season 7
The eighth episode of Love is Blind season 7, aptly titled “Dirty Laundry,”aired on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. In this episode, tension escalated between Monica and Stephan after she stumbled upon the inappropriate texts on his device.
Monica confronted Stephan, questioning his previous night’s alibi of attending a sleep test, expressing her disbelief. Stephan admitted he felt powerless to convince her otherwise, stating he never “pretended”anything.
“Yes, you did. You pretended you wanted to marry me,”Monica countered.
He described his actions as a “completely stupid mistake”made while intoxicated during the supposed sleep test, claiming the messages were from someone who contacted him. Monica pointed out that the communications from the unidentified woman were ongoing throughout the day, emphasizing that the most graphic ones were exchanged during their earlier conversation.
She warned him against lying and demanded to see his phone. Stephan reluctantly confessed to believing the texts existed but was adamant about not wanting to view them.
“They started yesterday and continued into today,”Monica insisted.
Monica pressed him about his awareness of his actions, asking if he had been aware the prior night. He conceded he knew it was a “stupid decision”but stated it was tied to their earlier discussion. Monica firmly rejected his implication that she was to blame for his poor choices, prompting Stephan to take full accountability for his actions.
“I’m taking full responsibility for this, which is why I’m getting my stuff and leaving you alone,”Stephan admitted.
Monica requested that he Venmo her the money he owed for “carrying”him, urging him to handle it before departing. Her disappointment was palpable as she revealed her sense of embarrassment over how much love she had invested in their relationship, asking if he would still have met her father given his disgraceful behavior.
“Ugh, you were lying in a sleep test bed texting a girl while engaged, discussing dirty kinks. It was disgusting,”she expressed.
Stephan conceded her point, expressing that he could not alter what had happened. He apologized for the hurt he had caused, for his actions, and for signing up for the show.
Monica called him a “selfish piece of sh*t”and reminded him of the commitment he had made by putting a ring on her finger. Tears flowed as he stood to gather his belongings, stating he felt undeserving of her compassion. He offered one final apology before exiting her life.
As Monica processed her heartbreak, cast members Taylor and Garrett provided support, helping her cope with the shocking turn of events.
