“What I have been told about my father when I was about five, he was murdered outside of a bar in the city. It makes me very protective of my husband because I know how it felt growing up as a young girl without a father. I just feel like it’s always gonna have an effect on me.”
Episode 4, titled No Love, No Grace, All Shade, was exclusively released on OWN TV on September 28, 2024. The episode synopsis highlights Lakeita’s concerns regarding Bravo’s late-night outings.
In this episode, Lakeita disclosed her worries about Bravo’s late returns and shared details about her father’s passing. The synopsis elaborates:

Lakeita Discusses Her Concerns for Bravo on Love and Marriage: Detroit Season 2 Episode 4
During episode 4 of Love and Marriage: Detroit, Lakeita confronted Bravo about his late nights and sleeping in the next day, expressing her desire for him to spend more quality time with their family, especially with his daughters. Reflecting on her relationship with her father, she stated that losing him at a young age left her with few cherished moments.
Lakeita shared:
“I lost my dad when I was younger and that’s always a big factor for me when you’re out because I don’t ever want the girls to feel the same thing that I felt.”
In response, Bravo explained that he has been busy managing six restaurants and stressed that his long hours were for the benefit of his family. Lakeita then told the cameras:
“Bravo, you know, he promised to communicate with me about where he is when he’s out, and this is something very important to me. I feel like he needs to follow through on this, especially being out late at night.”
Bravo acknowledged Lakeita’s feelings and assured her that he would keep her informed about his whereabouts through phone calls or texts and promised to return home earlier.
