“It means everything to me” – Marat Grigorian eager to become king of ‘the best kickboxing division’ in the world

Marat Grigorian, the second-ranked featherweight kickboxing contender in ONE Championship, is convinced that the time has come for him to showcase his skills in the spotlight of the world’s biggest martial arts organization.

The experienced 32-year-old fighter is prepared to seize the opportunity and potentially claim the ONE Championship title that he feels has evaded him since joining the organization in 2020.

Grigorian is scheduled to go up against his longtime rival and former ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion, Superbon Singha Mawynn of Thailand, in the main event of ONE Friday Fights 58: Superbon vs. Grigorian II. The highly-anticipated bout will take place at the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday, April 5th and will be broadcasted live.

The individual who emerges victorious will receive the prestigious title of interim featherweight kickboxing world champion.

In a recent interview with Sportsmanor, Grigorian expressed his desire to become a champion in order to solidify himself as the best in the world.

According to the Hemmers Gym representative:

“This division is really one of the best [kickboxing] divisions of the world. I just want to be the champion of ONE Championship. It means everything to me.”

Fans from both the United States and Canada can witness the entirety of ONE Friday Fights 58: Superbon vs. Grigorian II through a global pay-per-view on watch.ONEFC.com.

Marat Grigorian’s Focus on Mental Health Leads to Successful Rematch Against Superbon

Despite ensuring that he is in peak physical condition for his third and potentially last encounter with Superbon Singha Mawynn at ONE Friday Fights 58, Marat Grigorian, 32, stated that this will not be the determining factor in the fight.

His mental preparedness will be the determining factor in leading him to triumph.

Sportsmanor was told by Grigorian:

“My body is ready. But [the only thing left] is to prepare for the mind, you know, in your head. On this level, it’s very important to get ready in your mind and your body. My body is very strong, but I just need to be focused [in] my mindset, because mindset is more important on this level.”
