BioWare is set to unveil its latest title, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, on October 31, 2024. This exciting release will be available on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X and S, marking the franchise’s revival after nearly a decade since the last installment, Dragon Age: Inquisition, which launched in 2014.
As the PS Plus subscription service has grown in popularity, many fans might be curious whether this new entry will be included in Sony’s flagship offering. However, the answer is no. Instead, a different subscription service will host this title.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard will not be part of PlayStation Plus at launch
While PS Plus does provide some Day One game releases for subscribers on PS4 and PS5, Dragon Age: The Veilguard will not be featured at its launch. Nonetheless, it’s worth noting that this situation might change over time, as Sony could potentially add the game to the Essential tier or make it available in the game catalog later on.
For those who subscribe to EA Play Pro, the game will be accessible at launch without any additional fees. Since EA is the parent company of BioWare, this integration with their well-known subscription service is quite expected. However, it is important to note that standard EA Play members will not have access at launch.
Reasons to dive into Dragon Age: The Veilguard
This latest installment in the Dragon Age saga introduces a new chapter for fans, marking the first release since Dragon Age: Inquisition in November 2014. Moreover, it is designed to serve as a fresh entry point for new players, eliminating the need for prior game experience to follow the narrative.
Set in the rich world of Thedas, this game promises an entirely upgraded character customization system, in addition to a vast array of content expected to offer 40 hours or more of gameplay.
