The latest season of the widely acclaimed reality series, Sister Wives, brings fresh turmoil into the Brown family’s world. The show captures the everyday experiences of Kody Brown along with his current and former partners, which include Robyn, Christine, Janelle, and Meri.
Christine Brown, one of Kody’s former wives, became part of Kody’s family and the lives of her “sister wives”back in 1994. After 26 years of marriage and raising six children together, Christine and Kody made the decision to part ways in November 2021.
Following the end of her marriage with Kody, Christine discovered love again with David Woolley. They met a year later, with David being supportive of her past in a polygamous setting. The couple got engaged in April 2023 and celebrated their wedding on October 7, 2023.
Kody is now married solely to Robyn. Although Meri divorced him, she remained “spiritually married”until their separation in 2023, while Janelle concluded their 30-year relationship in 2022.

Christine was raised in a polygamous family, and in a conversation with People on August 25, 2022, she revealed that she always envisioned being part of such a family, as she believed it to be the most straightforward path. Throughout the series, Christine frequently addressed the issues of intimacy with Kody, who interpreted her feelings as a lack of commitment to their plural marriage.
During the premiere of Sister Wives season 17 on September 11, 2022, Christine reiterated her struggles, which aggravated Kody, leading him to blame her for not adhering to their mutual understanding.
“Even if you said you liked plural marriage and would be devoted to it, I wouldn’t believe that for a second,” Kody asserted.
He later reflected on how he could have managed the situation better, expressing a desire to reconcile with Christine and maintain a united family under one roof. Meanwhile, Christine voiced her feelings of jealousy, pointing out that Kody seemed to prioritize Robyn, which impacted not just their relationship but also created tension among their children.
After parting ways with Kody, Christine moved to Utah with her youngest daughter Truely, even battling for custody against Kody. In the second episode of season 17, she candidly expressed her desire to relocate with Truely to Utah, indicating her wishes for a supportive family environment.
“What I’m looking for is a place to envelop Truely in family. I can take her to a better support system where she’s surrounded by love. Whereas here, to be honest, most of the time it’s me right now,” Christine shared.
Throughout the season, Christine articulated her sense of empowerment as she felt stifled by her marriage. Her main concern was for her sister wives, who would be affected by the altered family dynamics. Kody, however, struggled with the breakup, describing the experience as feeling like “a knife in the kidneys”.
As previously mentioned, Christine eventually met her now-husband, David Woolley. On February 14, 2023, she publicly revealed their relationship via an Instagram post, declaring David as her soulmate and expressing gratitude for the way he treats her children.
