Is Anthony Davis playing tonight against Brooklyn Nets? Latest on 9x All-Star’s status (March 31)

Anthony Davis, the forward for the LA Lakers, will remain listed on the team’s injury report. He is currently listed as questionable for their upcoming game against the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday. This will be the second and final time the two teams will face each other this season, with the Nets previously winning 130-112 on Jan. 20. The game is part of the NBA’s 10-game lineup.

The Lakers (41-33) currently hold the ninth spot in the Western Conference and the fourth spot in the Pacific Division. Their first loss of their six-game road trip came against the Indiana Pacers on Friday with a score of 109-90, resulting in a tied season series between the two teams.

Despite losing on Friday, the Lakers had been on a five-game winning streak, conquering strong opponents such as the Milwaukee Bucks away from home despite the absence of LeBron James (ankle) and beating the Memphis Grizzlies even without Anthony Davis, who was struggling with a left knee injury.

The Latest on Anthony Davis’ Injury Status

According to reports, Davis strained his left knee after hyperextending it during the double-overtime win against the Milwaukee Bucks, where he played a personal best of 52 minutes this season.

The Lakers medical staff examined his knee on the sidelines during the early stages of the fourth quarter, and he was observed there.

The player, who has been selected to the All-Star team nine times, was originally listed as uncertain for the second game of the consecutive nights, but after further assessment, it was determined that he would not be able to participate in the match against the Memphis Grizzlies.

AD also faced a recent injury setback when he played against the Bucks. During the first game between the two teams, he sustained a shoulder injury. In the second half, while trying to take a charge against Giannis Antetokounmpo, Davis was inadvertently elbowed in the shoulder by the 6-foot-11, 240-pound “Greek Freak.”

Despite his injury, AD continued to play, but his performance noticeably deteriorated in the second half. He only scored eight points and displayed a decrease in his usual level of aggression. Throughout the entire game, he was frequently seen clutching his shoulder and grimacing in discomfort.

Out of the 74 games played by the Lakers this season, Anthony Davis has only missed 5 games, participating in a total of 69 games.
