At the same time, it seems the standard iPhone 17 models will also embrace a range of design variations akin to those found in the iPhone 17 Pro models, particularly noticeable from the smartphone’s rear side. According to a reliable tipster, the iPhone 17’s camera module will feature a fresh design, encased in a black housing reminiscent of the Google Pixel series.

Redesigned iPhone 17: Aligning with Pro Models

Initial reports suggested that both the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro would mirror the external design of their predecessors, indicating minimal changes for yet another year. However, the disappointing sales figures of the iPhone 16 may have prompted Apple to reconsider its strategy, leading to a potential redesign for the iPhone 17 models.

For years, Apple has relied on a consistent design language across its iPhone lineup, but it seems poised to embrace change. As per insights from Majin Bu on X, the iPhone 17 will introduce a revamped design featuring a modified camera arrangement. Accompanied by an attaching image, these changes appear to align closely with the aesthetic of the iPhone 17 Pro models.

In terms of the Pro variant, while it will also receive a new design, the essential camera layout will remain intact. The iPhone 17 Pro is expected to retain its familiar triangular triple-camera setup but will feature a more elongated camera module positioned prominently at the top of the device’s rear.

Furthermore, the tipster has indicated that the camera module on the standard iPhone 17 will be wider compared to the Air version, which incorporates just a single camera. Interestingly, the camera layout on the iPhone 17 Air will also be slightly rectangular when compared to that of the standard iPhone 17. Notably, there seems to be a switch between the main and ultra-wide cameras on the iPhone 17, likely due to the compact size of the ultra-wide sensor, which can fit seamlessly behind the Dynamic Island interface.
