Introducing Fortnite Kicks: A Fresh Way to Customize Your Character
Epic Games has recently unveiled the exciting addition of Fortnite Kicks to the Chapter 2 Remix. This innovative cosmetic feature is designed to express individuality among players by allowing them to personalize their character’s footwear, making every gaming session unique.
In their official announcement, Epic Games captured the essence of this update:
“The Island isn’t the only thing to be remixed and reimagined. We’re bringing self-expression to a whole new level with the introduction of Kicks.”
What to Expect from Fortnite Kicks
Fortnite Kicks will be integrated into the Chapter 2 Remix Battle Pass, promising a fresh layer of customization for players. Initially, this feature will include a selection of sneakers from renowned brands like Nike and Jordans, alongside unique designs crafted by Epic Games.
This selective rollout serves a dual purpose. Firstly, starting with a limited lineup enables Epic Games to gather valuable feedback from the community, ensuring that the implementation meets player expectations. Secondly, as Kicks will only be compatible with a select group of approximately 500 Outfits at launch, this strategy seems prudent to guarantee quality and style compatibility across a wide range of character designs.
Nevertheless, Epic Games assures players that by Spring 2025, over 95% of Outfits will be compatible with Fortnite Kicks. They noted,
“Kicks will be compatible with over 500 of the most popular Fortnite Outfits to start, with more than 95% of Outfits compatible by Spring of next year. While there are a few Outfits that are particularly challenging to style Kicks for, we’re working hard to make sure that as many Outfits as possible can throw on a fresh pair.”
