Allegations Surface Against Former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin Over HYBE Report Leak
On November 7, employees from HYBE took to Blind, an anonymous professional networking platform, to assert that former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin was responsible for the recent leak of internal reports. Following her unsuccessful attempt to regain her position at ADOR, Min allegedly orchestrated the leak, raising eyebrows within the K-pop community.
Blind serves as a unique space where verified employees can voice their opinions on workplace matters without revealing their identities. This has made it a hotspot for significant yet contentious discussions surrounding company dynamics.
Sources indicated that Min Hee-jin strategically altered her profile picture to obscure her identity during the leakage of these internal documents. However, HYBE’s employees expressed confidence that they had recorded evidence pinpointing Min’s involvement in the incident.
Public Reaction: A Divided Opinion
The revelation quickly ignited varied responses across social media, with many users expressing shock, while others deemed these claims unsurprising. A selection of social media reactions highlighted this split:
“It’s no surprise at this point,”commented one user.
“Looks like Mhj’s attempts to cover up their tracks didn’t work. The truth always comes out,”noted another netizen.
“Would this be proof enough to finally fire her? We all knew it was her work,”suggested a third.
Further commentary pointed to a shared belief that Min’s involvement was widely anticipated. One user pointed out, “All the companies had audits, but only HYBE’s documents were revealed to the public; that indicates she had some influence.”Another user provocatively questioned, “So HYBE is innocent? And it’s all Min Hee-jin’s fault?”
“It was obvious that someone on her team leaked it. This does not change that the reports are real,”expressed another user, underlining that while the leak was concerning, it did not absolve HYBE of responsibility.
HYBE Responds to Report Leak Amid National Assembly Audit
The internal report leak followed the October 24 National Assembly Audit, during which sensitive information allegedly surfaced, including damaging remarks about minor K-pop idols and detrimental actions toward other groups.
In response to the leak, HYBE released a statement asserting that the disclosed documents portrayed a biased view of the organization. They insisted that the leak only highlighted negative aspects while omitting positive evaluations. According to HYBE, the internal reports were derived from community reactions and were intended as reference points for a limited internal audience.
“This was written by extracting reactions from the community and SNS to share industry trends with a small number of internal members for reference purposes,”HYBE explained. “The report includes content that we as an entertainment company should pay attention to, as well as commendations from fans.”
Moreover, HYBE clarified that the comments captured in the internal reports did not reflect the company’s official stance but rather included opinions expressed by netizens. They concluded their statement by affirming their commitment to holding the person responsible for the leak accountable.
