Internet Reacts to Lana Del Rey’s Husband Jokingly Suggesting He Fed His Ex-Wife to an Alligator Like Carole Baskin

Lana Del Rey’s new spouse, Jeremy Dufrene, recently made headlines by joking about feeding his ex-wife to an alligator. In a viral video, Dufrene can be seen on a tour, detailing the feeding habits of alligators to fellow tourists on a boat.

During his demonstration, he engages with the alligator playfully, teasing it with food, and at one point, even kisses the alligator on its nose.

To clarify his audience’s confusion, Lana Del Rey’s husband humorously remarked that his ex-wife was a meal for the alligator:

“Me and him [alligator] have been pretty tight ever since I fed him my ex-wife. I’ve been messing with this guy for a long time.”

Reactions poured in on X, with some users criticizing the perceived insensitivity of the joke while others found humor in it.

Several users drew comparisons to the infamous disappearance of Tiger King star Carole Baskin’s husband, Don Lewis. Lewis mysteriously vanished on August 18, 1997, after leaving his home in Tampa, Florida, and was legally declared dead in 2002 following years of investigation.

This puzzling case received significant coverage in two seasons of Tiger King, with various conspiracy theories suggesting that he was fed to the tigers by Carole Baskin, his wife.

According to The New York Post, in 2021, Don Lewis was reportedly discovered alive and in good health in Costa Rica. Despite the fame of Tiger King, which focused on Lewis’ disappearance, it took over two decades for this information to emerge. Referencing the case, one user on X commented:

“He probably Carole Baskin’d her for real.”

“Is he joking though!! I think fam is serious- that ex-wife better be packing!!”wrote another fan.

“Why else would someone marry an alligator guy–but for the alligator gonna eat u jokes–that’s the best part of it all,”opined one user.

However, many users did not share the lighter view of the joke and criticized Lana Del Rey’s husband instead.

“What kind of sick joke is this,”wrote a fan on X.

“Well that’s definitely a red flag,”asserted another.

“Not joking,”tweeted another.

One netizen humorously remarked, saying:

“Husband jokes one day can be telling later.”

“How did he pull Lana? I need details,”stated another.

“John met me down on the boulevard,”inferred another netizen on X.
