Internet Reacts to Calle 13’s Viral Diddy Diss Track with Prophetic Lyrics
Sean “Diddy”Combs is currently incarcerated without bail as he awaits his trial date, and during this time, users on X have unearthed a diss track directed at him by the Puerto Rican trio, Calle 13. The song, titled “Pi-Di-Di-Di,”criticizes Diddy and highlights his past connections with reggaeton artists.
Released in 2005, “Pi-Di-Di-Di”features Calle 13 members Residente, Visitante (José Cabra Martínez), and iLe. The track reflects on Diddy’s visit to Puerto Rico in 2004 when he sought out reggaetoneros for his Sean John clothing line. Although Daddy Yankee took up the offer, both Residente and Tego Calderón declined due to what they felt was inadequate financial compensation.
In the lyrics of this standout track from Calle 13’s debut album, Residente expresses his distaste for selling out by associating with Diddy. He also mentions a boastful claim made by Diddy during their meeting, where he referred to himself as the “sugar daddy of all the mack daddies.”
As the dis song gained traction online, many netizens voiced their thoughts, with some interpreting the lyrics as a premonition of Diddy’s current legal troubles. One comment on X remarked (translated from Spanish):

The four-minute and 15-second track, which has not been accompanied by a music video, includes lyrics that challenge Diddy’s persona, particularly his voice. The song humorously states, “He [Combs] came out from behind me, very mouthy as a loudspeaker,” followed by, “So I spit him out with hot sauce and he instantly stood up.”
The band’s chorus reinforces their unwillingness to compromise, stating:

Recent legal issues surrounding Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs
Combs was apprehended on September 16 in New York City and is currently detained without bail on serious charges, including racketeering conspiracy, transportation to engage in prostitution, and sex trafficking.
A federal indictment alleges that Combs and his associates coerced and abused women to satisfy his sexual desires.
Prior to his arrest, US Homeland Security conducted raids on two of Diddy’s properties in Los Angeles and Miami as part of an ongoing sex trafficking investigation against him.
Several women have filed civil lawsuits against the founder of Bad Boy Records, charging him with sex trafficking, physical assault, and drugging. Notable accusers include his former girlfriend Cassie Ventura, among others.
In a report by Deadline, a 12th victim surfaced on September 27, alleging she suffered physical and sexual abuse at the hands of the rapper over four years starting in 2021. This individual accused Combs of drugging her and forcing her into non-consensual acts and intimidating her afterward.
Legal documents reveal that this anonymous individual, referred to as Jane Doe, alleged that Diddy coerced her into group sex. She further claimed that he impregnated her, and his associates pressured her into an abortion, which ultimately resulted in a miscarriage.
Diddy has consistently denied all allegations raised in the 11 prior lawsuits against him.
