“There were no parties, no motion… Nowhere to go… When Diddy was around, there was always a party and a place to go after an event. He played a vital role in the cultural scene.”

Despite seemingly defending Diddy, Bow Wow faced significant backlash from netizens. Users on X (formerly Twitter) took to the platform to criticize the rapper, with one user remarking that his comments had made him a “person of interest.”

“That comment made him a person of interest now,”commented one user.

Other individuals online echoed similar sentiments, suggesting that Bow Wow demonstrated a lack of “emotional intelligence.”Additionally, there were claims regarding his attendance at Diddy’s infamous parties.

“Bow Wow thinks r*pe, s*x trafficking, and abuse are significant to the culture,”said another user.

“Bow Wow has been to ALL the FREAK OFFS,”alleged another person.

Some users claimed Bow Wow was seeking relevance, while a few suggested legal action against him.

“Awww, they can’t have fun without the rapist present,”sarcastically remarked one user.

“Bow Wow’s just trying to stay relevant. His comments are going to draw attention to you, and not in a good way since it begs the question: why are you defending Diddy so fervently?”pointed out another.

“Lock him up too, f*ck it,”said one netizen.

In light of Sean Diddy Combs’ ongoing legal troubles, his friend and fellow rapper Bow Wow voiced his support for the 54-year-old artist. During the October 11 episode of the More To The Story podcast, Bow Wow discussed how Combs’ arrest has left a noticeable impact on both him and the music industry at large.

Expressing his sorrow about the current state of affairs, Bow Wow acknowledged the significant gap left by Diddy. He stated,

“It ain’t supposed to end like this. I can’t, nah, I would’ve never thought it would — If it is the end, this would be the story of how it would end. It ain’t supposed to end like this.”

The rapper recalled how Diddy used to host lavish parties following major events such as awards ceremonies, referring to Diddy as the “gatekeeper”of the music scene. He remarked,

“Nah, he’s like the gatekeeper to the game. To the point to where what weekend has passed, BET award weekend, like the past two, they just didn’t feel right. There was no motion, there were no parties. There was nowhere to go.”

Bow Wow elaborated on Diddy’s importance to the culture, saying,

“How monumental and how important he was to the culture. Because I said, Jermaine [Dupri], there’s no parties. Every year, dude [Diddy] had the [parties]. And you feel it. It’s like a hole. It’s like, ‘damn, we ain’t going… he was everything. Hip hop, you know what I mean?”

He continued to reflect on how things should have been, stating,

“For me, thinking on it, bro, supposed to be on a 250-foot yacht with his wife leg up, chilling. This how you ride it out.”

In addition to discussing Diddy, Bow Wow recounted a conversation he had with fellow music producer Jermaine Dupri, emphasizing their mutual disbelief over Diddy’s arrest and the void he left in the industry.

According to an article from All HipHop on October 12, Diddy and Bow Wow have collaborated on several tracks, including “Let’s Get Down.”Beyond their musical partnership, they are said to have built a close friendship, with Diddy having reportedly mentored Bow Wow and influenced his career trajectory.
