On October 20, Tyler Perry was spotted at Usher’s ‘Past Present Future Tour’ concert in Atlanta. Footage shared on social media depicted him enthusiastically tossing Usher Bucks at a dancer performing on stage while she was twerking. In the video, Perry can be seen drawing closer to the dancer, dropping the faux money by her feet, and lightly tapping her shoulder.
Upon noticing Perry, the dancer beamed at him, and he appeared to gesture that he was leaving the stage, saying, “I’m out, I’m out.”Usher, noticing the interaction, walked over to invite Perry back on stage, handing him additional Usher Bucks to continue the fun during the performance.
This amusing segment quickly gained traction on social media, eliciting a range of comedic reactions. One user humorously suggested that Tyler was sizing up potential talent for his next film, tweeting:

“He was looking for ideas for a new project,”another user tweeted.
Many comments playfully implied that Perry was prepared to “risk it all,”with some referencing his beloved character Madea.

Upcoming Release of Tyler Perry’s Movie
Tyler Perry’s highly anticipated film, The Six Triple Eight, is set to hit select theaters on December 6, prior to its Netflix streaming launch on December 20. This war drama, featuring Kerry Washington, will narrate the story of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, composed exclusively of Black women, during World War II.
On October 11, Netflix unveiled the teaser trailer for the film, which Perry has both written and directed, inspired by “Fighting A Two-Front War,”an article by Kevin M. Hymel. The star-studded cast also includes Oprah Winfrey, Ebony Obsidian, Sam Waterson, and Susan Sarandon.
Recently, Perry also released another Netflix feature titled Mea Culpa, a legal thriller in which he served as writer, director, and producer. This film, starring Kelly Rowland as a defense attorney, made its debut on the platform in February 2024.
Additionally, Netflix is developing another installment in the Madea franchise, Madea’s Destination Wedding, which is the 13th film in the series. Filming for this project commenced in 2024, with a release anticipated in 2025. This marks Netflix’s second Madea film, following A Madea Homecoming, which was released in 2022.
