Intel is set to unveil its highly anticipated “Battlemage”discrete GPUs, with a launch date now confirmed for December 3rd, according to exclusive insights shared by Videocardz.
Countdown to Launch: Intel’s “Xe2″Battlemage dGPUs
After extensive speculation and anticipation, the wait for Intel’s next-generation Battlemage desktop GPUs is almost over. The company, known as Team Blue, is expected to officially debut the new GPU lineup within days, specifically during the first week of December. As reported by Videocardz, the initial launch will feature the Arc Battlemage B580 and B570 models, a detail that has also been validated by various AIB (Add-In Board) partners. Intel is poised to continue its marketing strategy by introducing limited edition models, mirroring the approach taken during the previous Arc GPU launch.
Embargo Details and Model Specifications
In addition to the launch date, there are significant updates regarding the review process for the new GPUs. The review embargo will be lifted in mid-December, although Intel has strategically planned a staggered release of reviews. The exclusive “Limited Edition”model reviews will become public on December 12, while reviews for the custom AIB models will follow a day later, on December 13. This tactic appears designed to draw attention to Intel’s own models first, potentially boosting initial sales.
While the specifications and details about the B580 model are beginning to surface, there remains a veil of uncertainty surrounding other variants. It appears that Intel is taking a cautious approach with the initial release of Battlemage, suggesting that higher-end models may follow later in 2024, though no official confirmation has been made thus far. Recent data has highlighted the B580 on platforms like Geekbench and through various retailer listings. Notably, the anticipated retail price for the B580 GPU is approximately $250-$260, allowing it to enter the budget-friendly segment of the market.

Details regarding the Arc Battlemage B570 remain scarce. However, the numerical designation suggests it may serve as a more modestly powered option compared to the B580, potentially taking the place of the previous Arc A570. With the launch a mere few days away, tech enthusiasts and industry observers are eager to see how Team Blue’s approach to next-generation desktop GPUs will unfold and whether it can compete effectively in the market.
