Recent disclosures from Weibo suggest that the global release of Intel’s Arrow Lake-H series may fall behind the initial launches in China and South Korea. Renowned leaker Golden Pig Upgrade has indicated that these markets will see the embargo lifted prior to other regions.

This development implies that consumers worldwide may not see the retail availability of the Arrow Lake-H, also known as Core Ultra 200H mobile chips, until late February 2025. However, an official unveiling is expected at CES 2025, scheduled for the second week of January.

The Arrow Lake-H lineup will introduce mainstream mobile chips, including the Core Ultra 9 285H, Core Ultra 7 255H, and Core Ultra 5 235H. These chips are designed for general use and differ significantly from the higher-end Arrow Lake-HX or Core Ultra 200HX series, which are optimized for extreme gaming and productivity tasks. While the HX series will precede the broader Arrow Lake-H launch globally, the latter will be integrated into various laptops alongside the GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards.

With the HX series targeting the high-performance laptop market, we anticipate their worldwide release following Intel’s CES showcase, potentially in mid to late January. In contrast, the Core Ultra 200H will roll out a month later. Notably, NVIDIA plans to launch its premium RTX 50 series GPUs around the same timeframe, with the RTX 5080 expected to be unveiled ahead of the other models.

The Arrow Lake-H series has drawn attention from numerous tech enthusiasts due to its appearances on retail and benchmark sites, including Geekbench. The latest leaks reveal performance benchmarks for the Core Ultra 5 225H, Core Ultra 7 255H, and Core Ultra 9 285H. Moreover, recent sightings of the Core Ultra 9 285H in an upcoming ASUS ROG gaming laptop indicate a strong pairing with GPUs such as the RTX 5090, RTX 5080, and RTX 5070 Ti. This pairing hints that both HX and H series chips will make their mark in the high-end gaming laptop sector, suggesting a robust retail rollout shortly.
