Intel Validates Arc Pro B70 Workstation GPU Through vLLM AI Release Notes for LLM-Scaler

The Battlemage series is set to introduce the most formidable discrete GPU tailored for workstation environments, with the much-anticipated release occurring within this quarter.

Intel Arc Pro B70: Confirmation of the BMG-G31-Powered Workstation GPU

Rumors surrounding the BMG-G31-based Battlemage GPUs have circulated for some time, and while it seems that Intel has shelved its plans for a consumer version, the workstation variants are on the horizon. Earlier this year, we detailed two updates about the Arc Pro B70, expected to stand as the flagship model within the Battlemage workstation GPU lineup. This unit will surpass the existing Arc Pro B60, which operates on the BMG-G21 die also used in the Arc B580 and B570 models.

According to notable leaker @jaykihn0, the Arc Pro B70 was confirmed, although Intel has not yet officially acknowledged its existence. However, recent findings indicate that the model name has been referenced in Intel’s open-source AI-inference framework, LLM-Scaler vLLM. The release notes for the most recent beta version of LLM-Scaler vLLM explicitly mention the “B70 System, ”providing strong validation for the GPU’s development. This marks a significant confirmation, even though Intel has refrained from announcing the Arc Pro B70 across its official channels.

In terms of specifications, the Arc Pro B70 will utilize the larger BMG-G31 chip, featuring 32 Xe2 cores and equipped with 32 GB of GDDR6 VRAM. Additionally, reports suggest that Intel is working on another variant of the BMG-G31 chip named Arc Pro B65. This cut-down workstation GPU will include 20 Xe2 cores while still offering 32 GB GDDR6 VRAM—an increase of 8 GB compared to the BMG-G21-powered Arc Pro B60. Consequently, both the Arc Pro B70 and B65 are expected to feature a 256-bit memory interface.

While we await official announcements regarding the launch of the Arc Pro B70 and B65, industry reports indicate a possible release within the current quarter.
