The Twin Lake series, aimed at ultra-energy-efficient computing solutions, has generated significant buzz on platforms like Geekbench in recent weeks. Today, we delve into the detailed specifications of these processors, which are set to launch across four distinct WeU models: N355, N350, N250, and N150.
Interestingly, the Twin Lake processors represent a refinement rather than a complete overhaul of prior technology. As confirmed through industry leaks, these four variants maintain a similar naming structure to their Alder Lake-N counterparts and continue to support configurations of 4 to 8 total cores.
Performance Analysis of the Twin Lake Chips
Each chip in the Twin Lake family emphasizes efficiency, featuring identical Thermal Design Power (TDP) ratings when compared to earlier models. Starting with the N150, the entry-level variant, it boasts a TDP of just 6W with base and boost clock speeds of 2.9 GHz and 3.6 GHz, respectively. Notably, this represents a 200 MHz increase in turbo boost performance over the previous N100 model.
The integrated graphics unit (iGPU) maintains a count of 24 execution units (EUs) but sees a performance increase, with operating frequencies rising to 1 GHz from the 750 MHz offered in the N100.
