Intel Set to Unveil Arc “B770” Battlemage GPU and Latest Pro Arc GPUs at Computex

Although Intel has yet to officially verify the development of a more robust Arc Battlemage GPU beyond the existing B580, industry experts speculate an imminent launch of such a product.

Intel Teases Potential of Arc B770 Battlemage GPU at Computex

In a recent announcement, Intel disclosed its plans to introduce the latest Arc Professional GPUs at the highly anticipated Computex event, scheduled to take place from May 20 to 23 in Taipei. Notably, fans and experts alike have been vocally advocating for a more powerful Battlemage Arc GPU capable of enhancing the gaming experience.

Intel’s responses to inquiries regarding the Arc B770 suggest that the company is aware of the demand. Many users are particularly eager for a successor to the Alchemist-based Arc A770 GPU, which is expected to deliver a significant leap in performance compared to the current leading Battlemage GPU, the B580.

In its responses, Intel encouraged users to “Stay Tuned, ”a phrase that many interpret as a generic reply rather than a confirmed announcement. While this does not guarantee the reveal of the B770 at Computex, it has ignited speculation about potential future releases. Rumors have circulated regarding the B770, suggesting it could be unveiled at the upcoming event.

Details about the Arc B770 indicate it may utilize the enhanced BMG-31 die, positioning it as a contender against more budget-friendly options such as the GeForce RTX 5060/5060 Ti and AMD RX 9060 XT. Additionally, Intel’s Arc Pro A60 GPU, announced simultaneously, is tailored for professional applications and will leverage the BMG-21 die used in the B580, albeit with a substantial upgrade to 24 GB of VRAM.

Interestingly, there are also indications that Intel might unveil an Arc B580 version equipped with 24 GB of GDDR6 VRAM, a detail previously confirmed by SPARKLE. Although the statement was later retracted, the potential remains viable, particularly as other Intel board partners like Maxsun have reported registration for a 24 GB version of the Arc B580.
