Intel Set to Release Battlemage GPU with 24GB Memory by 2025, Aiming at Productivity Market

Intel is gearing up to introduce a groundbreaking GPU featuring 24 GB of VRAM, designed on its latest Battlemage architecture. This innovative model is anticipated to serve the burgeoning “productivity”sector, focusing on professional applications rather than consumer markets.

Unveiling Intel’s Ambitious Battlemage GPU: A 24 GB Variant for AI and Professional Applications

Intel, commonly known as Team Blue, appears to be thriving in the competitive GPU landscape. Their recent release, the Arc Battlemage B580, has quickly gained popularity among mid-range consumers due to its impressive performance-to-price ratio. According to insights from Quantum Bits, there are compelling rumors suggesting that Intel will roll out a high-capacity 24 GB Battlemage GPU model within the next year. This upcoming GPU is expected to be part of the “Arc PRO”series, although details remain unconfirmed.

In 2025, Intel plans to launch a larger memory version of the Battlemage series graphics cards, with the capacity increased to 24G.

In the future, the existing version will continue to serve consumer markets such as games, while the 24G larger video memory version will target the “productivity market.”The target users of the “productivity market”include data centers, edge computer rooms, education and scientific research, and individual developers.

This anticipated 24 GB model is poised to address the demands of the AI industry and other research-related tasks. It is expected to integrate seamlessly into workstation setups. Currently, Intel lacks a dedicated GPU tailored for productivity applications, making this new offering a strategic move. While specifics are scarce, future configurations could mirror that of the Intel Arc B580 but benefit from enhanced VRAM capacity.

Intel Arc B580 Battlemage GPU Spotted, Confirming Intel's Commitment To Discrete GPUs 1

At present, Intel’s Arc Battlemage lineup consists solely of the Arc B580, indicating a relatively limited selection. However, plans to introduce the Arc B570 next year signify Intel’s commitment to expanding its offerings. It seems that the company is currently prioritizing the mid-range segment, with no immediate plans for a high-end model. The recent success of the Arc B580 reflects Intel’s renewed efforts to bolster its presence within the GPU market, leading to an accelerated roadmap for future products.
