Acer has officially introduced its latest innovation, the Swift 16 AI, marking a significant milestone as the company’s first laptop powered by the upcoming Intel Panther Lake CPUs. This impressive device features a stunning 16-inch 3K OLED display, highlighting Acer’s commitment to high-quality visuals.
Introducing the Acer Swift 16 AI – A Pioneer with Intel’s Panther Lake CPUs
Unveiled during the IFA 2025 technology fair, the Swift 16 AI stands out as one of the inaugural laptops set for release this year employing Intel’s latest Panther Lake architecture. Sleek in design and weighing under 1 kg, this laptop is not just lightweight but also packed with advanced features like the world’s largest haptic touchpad and a suite of AI functionalities.

During the launch presentation, Intel elaborated on the Panther Lake CPUs, scheduled for a comprehensive release in 2026. These chips promise upgraded core architectures, enhanced graphics and gaming performance, improved battery life, and the capability to support next-gen AI functionalities. Users can expect Panther Lake CPUs to feature up to 16 cores, integrating both Cougar Cove P-Cores and Darkmont E/LP-E cores. Additionally, an Xe3 LPG iGPU will deliver superior graphics performance and a more robust neural processing unit (NPU) with triple the efficiency of its predecessor, Arrow Lake.
Alongside the Panther Lake CPUs, the Swift 16 AI will be equipped with a generous 32 GB LPDDR5X RAM, along with connectivity options supporting Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and dual USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports.

The Swift 16 AI will also introduce new features aligned with the capabilities of Intel’s Panther Lake, such as Generative AI, enhanced Windows Settings, and an innovative AI Experience Zone. These advancements will allow users to harness a variety of AI tools for local processing tasks. Furthermore, Intel’s AI Assistant Builder will utilize Model Context Protocol (MCP), enabling efficient management of local and online data.
While specific details on pricing and additional specifications remain undisclosed, Acer confirmed that the Swift 16 AI is slated for a near-future release. Anticipation builds as it is expected to be among the first products launched in late 2025, followed closely by more devices powered by Panther Lake technology in early 2026.
