Recent leaks have unveiled key configurations of Intel’s upcoming Nova Lake CPUs, revealing configurations that include up to 28 CPU cores and 12 GPU cores. This information sheds light on the advanced capabilities expected from this next-generation series.

Intel’s Next-Gen Nova Lake CPUs: Up to 28 Cores Expected

The Nova Lake CPUs will be integrated into Intel’s Core Ultra 400 series and will feature innovative Coyote Cove P-Core and Arctic Wolf E-Core architectures. Early details specifically about the desktop “Nova Lake-S”CPU variants indicate impressive core counts, with configurations achieving as many as 28 cores within a single-compute tile, alongside options for dual-compute tile variants that could push that number to 52 cores, particularly in certain “Big LLC”SKUs.

According to a recent announcement by Jaykihn on X, the initial configurations of the Nova Lake mobile series have also been revealed. Multiple WeUs are anticipated based on these configurations, which are categorized into five different variants.

Leading the lineup is the “Nova Lake-HX”configuration, featuring a robust combination of up to 8 P-Cores, 16 E-Cores, 4 LP-E Cores, and 4 Xe iGPU cores. This setup sums to a striking total of 24 cores on the compute tile, augmented by the four additional LP-E cores for a grand total of 28. This is comparable to the current flagship 285HX from the Arrow Lake series, although it lacks the bonus LP-E cores.

Insights from Ruby_Rapids suggest that Intel may not offer a dual compute tile variant for laptops, indicating that the Nova Lake-HX configuration will represent the highest performance tier for mobile platforms.

Additionally, the standard Nova Lake-H models are expected to feature configurations with up to 16 CPU cores and 12 Xe iGPU cores. Other variants maintain the 16-core count but are equipped with only 4 Xe iGPU cores. These models show notable similarities to the recently leaked Panther Lake-H specifications.
