The recent leak of an “Arrow Lake-S”specification sheet has unveiled Intel’s upcoming entry-level Core Ultra 3 205 WeU, confirming its development.
Unveiling the Core Ultra 3 Lineup: A Bright Future for Budget Processors
Intel’s Arrow Lake series made waves a few weeks ago with the introduction of the Core Ultra 5, Core Ultra 7, and Core Ultra 9 models. However, the absence of any Core Ultra 3 variants left enthusiasts wondering. Now, with insights provided by @harukaze5719, it appears the Core Ultra 3 205 WeU is indeed in the works, poised to succeed the familiar “Core i3″series that has been a staple in Intel’s lineup.
According to the leaked information, the Core Ultra 3 205 is expected to be Intel’s sole offering in this entry-level series, lacking any K, KF, or F variants. This points towards a strategic focus on the budget segment, targeting users who seek efficient performance in low-powered devices.
Specifications of the Anticipated Core Ultra 3 205
The Core Ultra 3 205 is rumored to include an impressive eight-core configuration, likely divided between four P-Cores and four E-Cores. Expected specifications include a base clock speed of 3.9 GHz, which can boost up to 4.8 GHz for P-Cores, aligning with previous disclosures. While details regarding its integrated graphics unit remain sparse, it is anticipated to deliver noticeable enhancements compared to its predecessors.
This new Core Ultra 3 variant, with its advanced Lion Cove P-Cores and Skymont E-Cores architectures, is positioned to compete strongly against prior generation models like the Core i3 14100 and its variations. Although the exact launch date is not yet confirmed, it’s speculated that the Core Ultra 3 205 could debut in the first quarter of 2025, potentially making a splash at CES 2025.
