A newly surfaced sample of the Intel Arc A750 GPU has drawn attention due to its impressive specifications, including a substantial 512-bit bus, 16 GB of GDDR6 memory, and dual 8-pin power connectors.

This intriguing GPU sample was reportedly acquired by an X user, komenezumi1006, who claims to have obtained a variant of the Arc A750 boasting 16 GB of VRAM. While the original Arc A750, which launched in 2022, was equipped with 28 Xe cores based on the Alchemist Xe-HPG architecture and supported 8 GB of GDDR6 memory via a 256-bit bus interface, this new sample appears to push the boundaries significantly. In contrast, the higher-tier Arc A770 had both an 8 GB and a 16 GB variant with 32 Xe cores.

Interestingly, the Intel Arc A750 sample sourced from GUNNIR is labeled as a 16 GB variant, equipped with a striking 512-bit bus interface. This configuration represents a significant upgrade, being double the width of the standard 256-bit bus on the existing ACM-G10 GPU models. This raises questions about whether Intel had originally intended for its Alchemist series to utilize a 512-bit bus before reverting to a more economical 256-bit solution, which still supports 16 GB of memory.

It might be speculated that GUNNIR could have merely labeled this board by combining aspects of two GPUs, but observations of the PCB support the notion that this GPU is indeed a single unit; it is equipped with just one retention bracket. While Intel has produced dual-GPU configurations, such as the Arc Pro B60 series, these cards utilize a 192-bit bus and can carry up to 24 GB of memory, further corroborating the uniqueness of this sample.

This specific graphics card is designed with a dual-slot blower-style cooler and includes two 8-pin connectors that allow for up to 300W of power delivery, surpassing the reference total board power (TBP) of 225W for the standard Arc A750. In task manager reports, the GPU clearly identifies its 16.0 GB VRAM, hinting at operational readiness. Detailed specifications, particularly regarding the 512-bit bus and associated memory pin speeds, can be gleaned from a GPU-Z screenshot.

In summary, while this Intel Arc A750 variant showcases a 512-bit bus, it appears that initial plans for such advanced specifications may have been abandoned early in the development process. Intel is now focusing on the launch of its upcoming high-end Arc Battlemage GPU, likely the B770, which is expected to feature a 256-bit bus alongside 16 GB of memory.
