The recent leak of Samsung’s One UI 7 has been creating a buzz online, especially with the new app icons showcased in a popular YouTube video. This update introduces entirely revamped app icons for all Samsung’s in-house applications. If you caught the Samsung Developer Conference earlier this month, you would have seen a preview of these exciting icons and Samsung’s plans for One UI 7.
Many users are excited about the new One UI 7 icons. Did you know that you can easily obtain and set up these icons on your existing Samsung device? Let’s explore how you can integrate the One UI 7 icons into your Samsung smartphone.
Add One UI 7.0 Icons to Your Samsung Device
The great news is you won’t need to rely on any third-party applications or famous Android launchers to utilize these icons. This process can be accomplished effortlessly with Samsung’s official app, Good Lock.
Step 1: Download Good Lock
To modify the One UI launcher, you first need to get the Good Lock app. This essential tool enables users to install various modules, allowing extensive customization options for their Samsung device. To download Good Lock, open the pre-installed Galaxy Store on your Samsung smartphone and search for it. The app features a distinctive pink icon.
Step 2: Install Theme Park
After successfully installing Good Lock, open the app and navigate to the Makeup tab. Then, select Theme Park. This module allows you to tailor various elements of your device, such as themes, icons, keyboard styles, the quick panel, and volume controls.
Step 3: Download the OnePro7 Icon Pack
Your next task is to acquire the new One UI 7 icon pack. Although it’s not an official release from Samsung, it has been created by a developer based on the leaked designs of the One UI 7 icons. Currently, the icon pack features a limited selection, but more will be added in the future.
Search for the One UI 7 icon pack on the Google Play Store. I personally downloaded the OnePro 7 icon pack, which is priced at just one dollar. You’ll recognize it by its blue icon and a file size of only 30 MB. After installing the icon pack, you can apply it next.
Step 4: Apply the OnePro 7 Icon Pack
Step 1: Open the Theme Park app on your Samsung device.
Step 2: Tap the icons tab at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3: Click on the Create New button.
Step 4: You will see a blue icon labeled Iconpack. Select it.
Step 5: A list of all icon packs installed on your device will appear.
Step 6: Choose the One UI 7 icon pack to proceed with the installation.
Step 7: Finally, click the download button in the upper right corner to install the pack, and provide it with a name.
Step 8: You will return to the icon pack list. Tap the One UI 7 icon pack and then select Apply.
You have successfully applied the One UI 7 icon pack to your Samsung smartphone!
This process can be performed on any Samsung device running One UI 6. From the comparison images, you can clearly see the transformation of certain app icons between One UI 6.1 and the new One UI 7 pack.
What are your thoughts on the new design? Do you believe Samsung’s refresh of the icon packs and the interface in One UI 7 is a positive step, or do you find it unappealing? We’d love to hear your opinions in the comments below.
