Navigate to the quest list in your menu, track the quest, and the icon will direct you to the White Jade ship in Florawish. Board the ship to meet Hiya, who will immediately introduce you to the storyline involving the disappearance of renowned artist and musician, Du Yubai. Nikki will then step in to help locate her.
Steps to Complete ‘Listening To Echoes Of The Past’ In Infinity Nikki
Location Du Yubai
Finding Du Yubai is straightforward. The game map provides two marked locations in Breezy Meadow where she could be found. To reach her, teleport to the Bug Catcher’s Cabin Warp Spire and head south toward the indicated icons. Once you arrive at the hill, veer left to discover Du Yubai, who will be surrounded by Esselings. Defeat them to proceed and then speak with her.
Acquiring Pony Curls
This next objective involves retrieving Pony Curls for Du Yubai, which can be somewhat challenging since the ponies are skittish and tend to flee. When you’re within 100 meters of the designated pony pasture, switch to your Animal Grooming Outfit to stealthily approach the ponies.
Focus on grooming Noble Ponies, which are smaller and darker than the typical horses found in the pasture.
Capturing a Photo of Du Yubai
Once you’ve provided the pony curls, the next task is to take a photo of Du Yubai. Use Momo’s Camera, located at the top left of your screen. You’ll know the capture was successful if a gold frame appears around Du Yubai.
If you encounter issues and do not see the gold frame, logging out of Infinity Nikki and logging back in may resolve the problem, enabling you to try again.
Engaging Monaco for a Photo
Following your photo session with Du Yubai, proceed to the Mayor’s Office to meet Mayor Grace. After a brief conversation, she’ll direct you to engage with three individuals, one of whom is Monaco, found conveniently down the road from the office.
To move forward, take another photo featuring both Monaco and Du Yubai, ensuring that both NPCs are framed in gold for the photo to register successfully. It doesn’t matter if Nikki appears in the shot, so capture the moment and continue to your next objective.
Consulting Fournier for Proposal Assistance
Fournier works as a chef at Ray and Wing’s. Interact with him inside the establishment and offer your assistance with planning a proposal, which consists of two primary tasks:
- Find a flower: You can choose between a Sunny Orchid, Rainy Orchid, or Florapom for Jeka to prepare the proposal. The specific flower doesn’t affect the outcome, so if you don’t have any of these, visit Florawish for Sunny and Rainy Orchids or Breezy Meadow for Florapoms.
- Take a photo: After handing the flower to Jeka, engage with the wait prompt at the counter. Following a short cutscene, you’ll be prompted to capture another photo. Ensure that Nikki, Du Yubai, and the other guests are all present in the photo, as their frames should all light up. Do not exit the photo screen before locating the upload button in the upper right corner.
If the upload button doesn’t appear, log out of the game and log back in to retry the photo process.
Discovering Elettra
Travel to the Dream Warehouse Warp Spire to find Elettra, who requires help as she’s trapped under a pile of books. After rescuing her, continue following the quest markers until you reach the Dream Warehouse Rooftop, where you’ll participate in the release of paper cranes alongside Elettra and Du Yubai.
Viewing Du Yubai’s Performance
Upon completing all tasks, return to the White Jade Ship to enjoy Du Yubai’s performance. You may need to adjust the in-game time to night to trigger the performance after taking your seat.
