The Gloomy Cavern.”Your primary objective in this segment is to unlock a mysterious sealed door that transitions into a cavern filled with secrets. You’ll embark on this adventure on the northern edge of Firework Isle, guided by the enigmatic Marques Jr., after acquiring a mystical sword from a stone. However, accessing the cave demands that you first locate all three crucial Launch Tubes that keep the door securely fastened.

The Launch Tubes, much like those found in the other caverns throughout Firework Isle, are cleverly concealed throughout the island. While they may not be entirely hidden away, their locations can be somewhat elusive, especially since the map provided next to the door lacks precision. Expect to undertake some exploration as you track them down. Remember, many of these tubes are located near clusters of Esselings, so stay alert during your hunt.

Unlocking the Gloomy Cavern Gate

Locate the Cavern and the Three Launch Tubes

To illuminate the Launch Tubes, players will need the Firey Glow Fireworks Ability Outfit, which was introduced in the game’s 1.2 update.

Launch Tube 1 – Outside the Cavern

The initial Launch Tube is quite easy to find.It is positioned right in front of the cavern entrance on a small stone platform adjacent to the Warp Spire. Utilize any Firework Ability Outfit to light it, resulting in a vibrant pink firework that ascends toward the cavern entrance, illuminating one of the gems on the door.

Launch Tube 2 – Crescent Moon Ruins

To unearth the second Launch Tube, begin your journey from the Crescent Shoal Warp Spire. Ascend the hill to the west, and you will find yourself at the ruins.This Launch Tube is nestled within a dilapidated structure and can be ignited after you eliminate the nearby Esselings.

When equipped with a Fireworks Ability Outfit, nearby Launch Tubes will emit a glowing green light, making them easier to spot as you approach.

Launch Tube 3 – Flaming Forest

Your quest for the third Launch Tube can commence from either the Sizzle & Spark Center Warp Spire or the Songbreeze Island Foothills Warp Spire. Regardless of your starting point, make your way toward the southwestern corner of Firework Isle.This Launch Tube is also hidden in a collapsing structure surrounded by Esselings. Clear the area, light the Launch Tube using your Firework Ability Outfit, and watch as the pink light illuminates the path towards the Gloomy Cavern.

With all three Launch Tubes activated, the sealed entrance to the Gloomy Cavern is now accessible.
