Industry Season 4: Latest Updates and Key Details
Season 4 of Industry was officially announced in mid-September, with a report from Variety on September 19 revealing that the renewal happened just days before the season 3 finale aired.
The upcoming season will continue to delve into the narrative surrounding Pierpoint & Co., an investment banking firm renowned for attracting fiercely ambitious and morally ambiguous individuals. This acclaimed series was created by Mickey Down and Konrad Kay, who also fulfill the role of executive producers.
In a statement shared with Variety, Francesca Orsi, Executive Vice President of HBO Programming, remarked:
“For three seasons, Industry has been unflinching in its examination of ambition and class, solidifying itself as a marquee HBO drama. Under Mickey and Konrad’s singular vision, this twisted, thrilling look at London finance has redefined the contemporary workplace show.”
“We have no doubt that Mickey and Konrad, alongside the phenomenal team under executive producer Jane Tranter at Bad Wolf and executive producer Kathleen McCaffrey, will elevate season four to even greater heights.”
What to Expect from Industry Season 4
Season 3 culminated in a significant upheaval, as the original management of Pierpoint & Co. sold the firm, resulting in its restructuring as Al-Mi’raj Pierpoint. This restructuring led to the closure of the London offices, fundamentally altering the established power dynamics portrayed in the series.
As the main characters navigate newfound career paths, they will explore fresh opportunities to fulfill their ambitions. Robert Spearing is moving to the United States after selling the Little Labs microdosing business to buyers in California. Additionally, Harper is rumored to be expanding her business into the US while feeling constrained in her partnership with Petra.
In a September 30 interview with Decider, co-creator Mickey Down acknowledged the characters’ shifts at the end of season 3 but hinted at plans to reunite them. Co-creator Konrad Kay further expanded on the aspirations for season 4:
“It will never stop being about work and people’s relationships to work and what they gain from it and their identities. But equally, if we’re going to do a fourth season, we want it to feel different from Season 3.”
“And that means, again, expanding. It suggests making the sandpit bigger in terms of what sorts of genre elements the show might incorporate.”
While the exact release date for Industry Season 4 remains uncertain, Mickey Down and Konrad Kay revealed in an interview with Variety shortly after season 3 concluded that they were already in the process of developing the first two episodes of the new season.
The show has typically premiered a new season every two years. The timing of the series debut coincided with the COVID lockdowns, which may have influenced the production schedule of the second season.
With work on Industry Season 4 currently in progress, an optimistic prediction places the release around late 2025. However, based on historical release patterns, it is more realistic to expect that Industry Season 4 will likely debut in 2026.
All three seasons of Industry are currently available for streaming on HBO Max for viewers residing in the United States.
